Abstract: A 1/n part of the n-fold axisymmetrical Levy dome is equivalent to a statically indeterminate truss with one redundant degree. The methods to obtain the forces and the displacements of the struts in different radial directions are put forward, as well as the equations to calculate the constraint force. The displacement transfer matrix and the equation are derived. An example is given and the results are compared with those obtained by the FEM.
