Abstract: Ideo-political education is investiageted in teaching general mechanics courses of Theoretical Mechanics, Mechanics of Vibrtions, and Advanced Dynamics. Ideological values and spiritual meanings in the courses are summarized as universal sentiments, open mindedness, national aspirations, innovative spirits, and professional awareness. The ideo-political education ingredients indicating the indeogical values and spiritual meanings are explored in the teaching materials from the aspects of history, literature, mathematics, and philosophy.
